Demonstration outside the Greek Embassy in London on Thursday (4pm 18th December)

Demonstration outside the Greek Embassy in London on Thursday (4pm 18th December) showing solidarity with workers and students in Greece.

This is after the police murder of teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos and the ongoing protests against the government. It also falls on the same day as a strike from health workers. The resistance continues after more than 10 days of protest in a number of cities across the country, inlcuding a general strike, student walk outs, riots and confrontation with the police, students occupying a number of buildings (including the brief takeover of a TV channel), and various acts of solidarity across Europe.

So to all activists in the London area this week, please come to the demo and let your contacts know about it.

The solidarity protest has been called by a number of Greek organisations, details below:

THURSDAY 18th DECEMBER 2008
4PM - 6PM
Outside the Greek Embassy, 1A Holland Park, London W11 3TP (NEAREST TUBE: HOLLAND PARK).
