Return of the resident rodent

SOAS' resident rodent, originally uploaded by solomonsmfield.

The pesky mite moved so fast i couldn't quite get a clear shot...

A woman asked me if i was going to send the photo to the student newspaper gossip pages. No, i replied, i'm introducing him (i guess it's a him!!) to the new students to remind them not to leave their leftover food all over the floors - our underpaid, overworked cleaners should not have to slave after overpaid, underworked middle class tosspots who expect everyone else to clean up after them...

It looks like the metallic case in the background is a trap, if you can only tempt him under there you can let it fall ;)

The metal thing is a DJ's flight case-if it dropped on him it would kill him and we wouldn't want that now would we?!

Not sure if students can be described as: "overpaid, underworked middle class tosspots".

What happened to "students are workers too".

Have you not been to SOAS Futurecast? Most of the students are great-voted 96% in favour of bringing the cleaners in-house and for a London Living Wage. But they are not the ones who leave their rubbish in the common rooms; they are not the ones who said' I dont give a shit about the cleaners' when we were doing the ballot.

There is still a layer of aspiring imperialists who put number one first.

Thanks for your reminder though.
