Lessons in life
Couldn't help myself posting this well known motto to my son's door.
Although I have to add what a fantastic son he is-he's just had a life
changing experience after reading Orwell's 1984!
Just let out a huge high pitched laughter ther Clare. My son's line was until he got a job was 'No one listens to me,' when ever he was criticised or told off. I would follow his comment by sitting down and making myself comfortable so that he can say as much as he likes. Most of the times we ended up rolling up in laughter because he would stand there and say nothing. His life changing experience was when he took time off after his A levels and got a job at NEXT in Blue Water and started contributing to household bills. Now at 24, he is my rock and being taller than me I can always bowl my eyes on his shoulder if I feel that 'no one is listening to me'! Role reversal is my argument.
