Attack on Ken Loach in Guardian [Monday 23-August]

I got sent this on facebook by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Haven't yet been able to find the link in the Guardian-please link me if you do...

Tomorrow’s (Monday 23-August) Guardian is going to give space to the Director of the Melbourne International film Festival to attack Ken Loach for taking a stance on Palestine by withdrawing his current film from the Festival there (after it accepted Israeli Government money).

It will be a personal attack with NO mention of the Palestinian appeal for a cultural boycott or the reasons for that appeal.

**Please reply after reading the piece by posting a reply / writing a letter in support of Ken, who has been second to none - in his support for Palestinian human rights.

The piece from Richard Moore has finally appeared on CIF... it's quite preposterous and basically tries to claim Ken Loach is an "equally insidious" threat to cultural freedom as, erm, the Chinese state.

I empathise with Ken Loach. Being criticised by idiots is not only annoying, but it gives me bile. But I know Ken will disembowel his critics one way or the other. Its because they cannot see the truth as a good thing. The only problem is when you skin these idiots, its like when one peels off an onion, their stench tend to make my eyes water and irritates my nose! Ken Loach is a great guy and his critics should get off their high horses before being shoved off by invisible hands!
