How come 18 yr olds talk more sense than politicians?

My son recommended this-he's pleased that UK artists are speaking out about the bullshit going on in the world...

Brilliant - I tried very hard to get my 23 year old son from the age of 18 to be politically active like me. His response was - 'mum I get politicised by life'. Love his cotton socks - an angel from heaven and my saviour. He took a 2 year gap after his A levels to study psychology and African American history at college before University. We have a lot of political debates together and rather than him doing what I am doing politically,I am the one who is now converted to rap music that he records for me - all along the lines of this one 'BULLSHIT'!

My argument indeed, we must listen to our children and the young generation. Some of them are more politicised than Marxist intellectuals that I have come across. Try tell them about Marx and Lenin, my son and his friends always say "But they did not succeed in changing the world mum." I find Tracy Chapman's latest CD just as volatile against the state! The Genie is out and some of us have made our wish. Simple - "A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL."

Yes Florence, i know what you mean-we have to start listening to them. Oh, the pearls of wisdom from the mouths of babes.

He came home from Sociology class the other day ranting about how terrible these Sociologists are.

What do they know?, he asked, about knife crime or drugs? They say it's because we are from working class families. No, he said, it's not because of our families, it's because of the crap they put our families through.

Couldn't have put it better.

Really loved this rap tune and lyrics, all catchy and true!

The young people are teaching us now, maximum respect to the youth, they suffer hard times and life is not fair for the poor and working classes. Hopefully we can all be part of changing things for the better and soon!
